Today was the day the portacabins which will be our home for the next few weeks arrived. We are moving everything out of the barn so that we can renew the underfloor heating pipes.
As is often the case with people in the construction industry there was a lot of umming and awing about whether they would get them in, and as you can see, it was a bit tight:
There wasn't inches to spare between the cabin and the guttering on the garage, it was millimetres!
The cabin on the left is where we will live, and the one in front is where we will be putting all our belongings. They are both anti vandal cabins which is really ironic, as there are not many vandals in our area, but they couldn't get the normal ones up our narrow drive.

Woo, a feat of truckingistics. And how exciting to have the crane at your home. I worked in a portacabin for a year - the lack of insulation was as much a problem in summer as it was in winter, so you've at least picked a good season for it. When does the floor get attacked?
yes, hopefully we have chosen a not too hot not too cold time of year.
when do they attack the floor? Just as soon as I can empty the house!
ove your pics - pop over to my blkog and see 'house changes' and sign up for my mouse giveaway ... i wonder if that mouse is hard of thinking ? cat xxx
